Mercury Chophouse – Arlington's Boardroom is a private watch party room for 8 to 20 guests with a fully integrated AV system and a large screen, on the ninth floor about 1 mile from Globe Life Field and 1.5 miles from AT&T Stadium. It is closed Sundays, so Sunday Cowboys games cannot be hosted; Saturday, Thursday and Monday games can.

The game on the screen and the stadium in the window
The Boardroom is a private room where the broadcast is on the wall and the building it is coming from is in the window. Globe Life Field is about a mile away and AT&T Stadium about a mile and a half, both visible from the ninth floor. The room has a fully integrated AV system with a large screen, and the restaurant’s own description says it is perfect for watch parties where you cheer on the Rangers and Cowboys in their own backyards.
It seats 8 to 20 at a single long table. Everyone faces the same direction when the play matters and turns back to the table when it does not. The door is frosted glass, so the noise of your fourth-quarter stays with your group and the main dining room stays a steakhouse.
For a party of two to seven, the bar has TVs of its own; the watch the game over dinner page covers that option.
Which games fit the hours, and the Sunday problem
Mercury is closed on Sundays, and most Cowboys home games are played on Sundays. A Sunday Cowboys watch party is not possible here, and no amount of planning changes that. What does work is the rest of the schedule: Thursday, Monday and Saturday games, college football Saturdays, and the Rangers’ 81 home dates, most of them evenings with first pitch around 7 PM.
| Game | Can the Boardroom host it? | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Cowboys, Sunday | No, closed Sundays | Book a Saturday or a weeknight game instead |
| Cowboys, Thursday or Monday night | Yes, with a caveat | Kickoff is after 7 PM and the posted close is 9 PM Monday to Thursday; ask about the end time |
| Cowboys, Saturday | Yes | Dinner service from 4 PM to 10 PM; free parking at the tower |
| Rangers, weeknight | Yes, with a caveat | First pitch around 7 PM; the posted close is 9 PM Monday to Thursday, 10 PM Friday |
| Rangers, Friday or Saturday | Yes | Open until 10 PM both nights; Saturday from 4 PM |
| College football, Saturday | Yes | Afternoon and evening kickoffs fit the 4 PM to 10 PM window |
The site does not say if a private group may stay past the posted closing time. Put the game and its start time in your inquiry and let the events team tell you what the room can do that night.
Wings and nachos versus a chophouse table
A sports bar feeds a watch party from a fryer. This kitchen starts with Filet Mignon Cigars at $17, Chophouse Calamari at $17, Savory Meatballs at $18 and the Land & Sea Sampler at $26 per person, which puts calamari, a filet cigar, a crab cake and a shrimp cocktail in front of each seat. Hand-Cut Fries are $11, with truffle oil and Parmesan for $2 more. Then the steaks: the Hand-Cut Ribeye at $75, the 8 oz Center-Cut Filet at $74, the Double-Bone Pork Chop at $59.
Private dining menus are tailored to the group, so a watch party can lean toward shareable starters and sides rather than a formal course structure. Say so in the inquiry.
The bar keeps Manhattan Project drafts from Dallas at $7 to $8, bottles from $6 to $14 including Shiner Bock and Modelo, and cocktails built for a long game: the Hibiscus Ranchwater at $17, the Cowboy Daiquiri at $17 and the Steakhouse Old-Fashioned at $19.
Headcount, minimum and one check
The Boardroom takes 8 to 20. A semi-private option reaches 28, though the AV system and screen belong to the Boardroom, so confirm what a larger group can see before you plan around it. Parties of 10 or more meet a food and beverage minimum set by party size and quoted in the proposal; there are no published dollar amounts. Every Boardroom group gets one check, and a 20% gratuity is added for parties of 6 or more.
Read the menus and minimums page before you send the request if the budget needs approval first.
Feeds, sound and what to confirm before kickoff
The restaurant publishes that the room has an integrated AV system and a large screen. It does not publish which channels, streaming services or sports packages the room can show, nor the sound setup. Away games and out-of-market broadcasts are the ones to ask about specifically. Name the game, the network and the start time in your inquiry so the answer is exact.
If your group would rather bring the feed on a laptop, ask how that connects. The watch-the-game answer page has a short version of all of this.
Getting in and out while the district is full
On a game night the stadium lots are the slow part. Mercury sits north of the stadium district on E Lamar Blvd, off the main lots, with free garage and outdoor parking at the Brookhollow Two tower. Highway 360 is about a mile east and I-30 about a mile south, so guests leaving after the final out are pointed away from the crowd rather than through it.

Frequently asked questions
Can you host a Cowboys watch party on a Sunday?
No. Mercury Chophouse is closed every Sunday, and most Cowboys home games fall on Sundays. The Boardroom can host Thursday night, Monday night and Saturday Cowboys games, with the caveat that the posted close is 9 PM Monday through Thursday, so ask about the end time for a late kickoff.
Can we watch an away game or an out-of-market broadcast in the Boardroom?
The room has an integrated AV system and large screen, but the specific channels, streaming services and sports packages available are not published. Name the game, network and start time in your private dining request and the events team will confirm whether the feed can be shown, or whether you can connect a laptop.
Does a watch party have to be a full sit-down dinner?
Private menus are tailored to each group, so a watch party can be built around shareable starters like the Land & Sea Sampler at $26 per person, Filet Mignon Cigars at $17 and Hand-Cut Fries at $11, with steaks for those who want them. Parties of 10 or more still meet the food and beverage minimum quoted in the proposal.
What happens if the game runs past closing time?
The posted hours are 11 AM to 9 PM Monday through Thursday, 11 AM to 10 PM Friday and 4 PM to 10 PM Saturday. The site does not say if a private group may stay later. A 7 PM first pitch on a Tuesday will reach the 9 PM close mid-game, so raise the end time in your inquiry before booking.
How many people can watch on the Boardroom screen?
The Boardroom seats 8 to 20 at one long table, and the large screen is set up for that room. A semi-private option seats up to 28, but the AV system is described as part of the Boardroom, so confirm the sightlines with the events team before promising a bigger group the game.
