Three budgets, one menu

The menu is priced à la carte: steaks come with a compound butter but not a side, and sides are sized to share. That means the check depends mostly on which entrée you pick and how many sides the table orders. Warm bread with garlic butter comes to the table without a charge, so two people rarely need more than two sides.

The charges that are easy to miss

Three line items are printed on the menu and worth knowing before the check comes. Parties of 6 or more see a 20% gratuity added. Composed entrées split between two guests carry a $25 split-plate fee, so two people sharing the 36 oz Porterhouse should expect $200 for the steak. Groups of 12 or more in the dining room, and any group in the Boardroom, receive one check with no splits, and parties of 10 or more in private dining meet a food and beverage minimum quoted in the proposal. Sales tax is added on top of everything above. None of these are surprises if you read the bottom of the menu, but they change the total for a large table more than the entrée choice does.

Lunch is the cheaper way in

The same kitchen serves a lunch menu Monday through Friday from 11 AM with a different price scale: a Club Sandwich at $14, the Chophouse Burger at $17, Chicken Fried Steak at $24, Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon at $24, and the Center-Cut Filet at $54 for 6 oz against $62 at dinner. A lunch of a sandwich and iced tea comes in under $25 before tip. The lunch menu page has the whole list, and the dinner prices page compares courses side by side.

A corkage policy is not published on the website or the menu. Call 817-381-1157 before you bring a bottle. The list itself covers Bordeaux, Barolo, Brunello, Rioja, Napa blends and a deep Pinot Noir section, so most guests find a match on the list.
