Bridal Luncheon & Shower Venue in Arlington, TX

Mercury Chophouse – Arlington hosts bridal luncheons and showers in the Boardroom, a private ninth-floor room for 8 to 20 at one long table, with semi-private seating to 28. Luncheons run on weekdays from 11 AM; Saturday service begins at 4 PM, so a Saturday shower is an early-evening one. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

When a luncheon can happen here, and when it cannot

The first thing a maid of honor needs to know is the calendar, so here it is without decoration. Mercury Chophouse – Arlington serves lunch on weekdays from 11 AM, Monday through Friday. On Saturday the restaurant does not open until 4 PM, which means a Saturday bridal luncheon is not possible here; a Saturday event becomes an early-evening shower instead. Sunday is closed.

A Friday luncheon is the most common request from wedding parties whose guests have taken the day off, and a Saturday 4 PM shower works for a party that wants the sunset, which in June is around 8:35 PM and in November around 5:30 PM.

The room for a shower

The Boardroom is a private room behind a frosted glass door, with one long table for 8 to 20 and a wall of windows over the Entertainment District. A bridal party of 21 to 28 uses the semi-private arrangement in the main dining room. In either case the group sits together, the gifts go at one end, and nobody at a far table misses the moment the bride opens the box from her grandmother.

The room’s large screen and integrated AV system carry a slideshow of the couple, a video toast from a bridesmaid who could not fly in, or the engagement photos on a loop. Tell the events team on the inquiry form if you plan to use it and how you will connect. The engagement party page describes the same room in its evening use.

A lunch menu for a bridal table

Private group menus are tailored, and for a weekday luncheon the events team draws from the lunch list, which is lighter and quicker than dinner. Hosts often pre-select three or four choices so the table orders once.

Lunch itemPrice
Cobb in a Mold: romaine, applewood-smoked bacon, avocado, tomato, Gorgonzola$16
Caprese Salad$18
Crab & Shrimp Louie$24
Chicken Sandwich, grilled or fried, with a small salad or cup of soup$15
Blackened Fresh Catch Tacos$17
Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon$24
Grilled Chicken Pasta$18

Salads take grilled chicken for $10 more, grilled shrimp or salmon for $15. For a Saturday shower, the dinner menu applies, and the lunch page explains where the weekday lunch window sits in the day.

Something to toast with, and something sweet

The Ladies First is $16, made with Wheatley vodka, lemon, berry coulis and rosé bubbles, and the Strawberry Negroni is $17. The Mandarin Smash at $17 and the MCA French 75 at $17 suit a table that wants a second round. For a dry luncheon, coffee and hot tea are $4 and a cappuccino or latte $6.

Dessert does the work a shower cake usually does. The Strawberry Cake and the Italian Cream Cake are $17 each, the Key Lime Pie $16, and the Crème Brûlée $15 and gluten free. The full list is on the desserts page. Outside cakes are not covered by a published policy; ask on the form.

Gifts, games and getting there

Gifts stack at the end of the table, and games happen at the table, because the room is one table and that is its charm. Décor beyond florals and place cards is not covered by a published policy, so list it on the event inquiry form with the date, headcount and whether you want a luncheon or a shower. Guests park in the tower’s garage or its outdoor lot at 2221 E Lamar Blvd, at no charge, and take the elevator to the ninth floor. Dress is business casual, and the restaurant notes that flip-flops, yoga pants and loungewear are too casual, which is worth passing along to a bridal party arriving from a spa morning.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't we hold a Saturday bridal luncheon at Mercury Chophouse?

Because the restaurant opens at 4 PM on Saturday and serves dinner only. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 AM. A bridal party that needs Saturday can book a 4 PM shower with the dinner menu, or move the luncheon to Friday, which is the most common choice for wedding-week guests.

Can we have a mimosa or champagne toast at a bridal luncheon?

The bar is open from 11 AM on weekdays, and the cocktail list includes the Ladies First with rosé bubbles at $16 and the MCA French 75 at $17. A mimosa is not on the printed list, and a champagne-by-the-bottle choice comes from the wine list. Ask the events team to include the toast in the proposal.

Is there a lighter menu for a bridal shower than steak?

Yes. The weekday lunch menu has the Cobb in a Mold at $16, a Caprese at $18, the Crab and Shrimp Louie at $24, fresh catch tacos at $17 and the Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon at $24. An evening shower uses the dinner menu, which includes the Seared Sea Bass, Caprese and Chicken Saltimbocca.

Can the shower host pay for the room while guests buy their own drinks?

The Boardroom presents one check, so separate drink tabs for individual guests are not how the room is billed. Tell the events team what the host wants to cover and whether the bar should be limited, and the proposal will reflect it. A 20% gratuity is added for parties of 6 or more.

How long can a bridal shower run in the Boardroom?

The restaurant's hours set the outer limit: 9 PM Monday through Thursday, 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. How long the room is held for a shower is agreed in the proposal rather than published. Give the start time and the time you expect to wrap gifts on the inquiry form.
