Two ways to book a table
Mercury Chophouse – Arlington takes reservations two ways. Online, through OpenTable, where you pick the date, time and party size and get an instant confirmation. By phone, at 817-381-1157, which is the better route if you have a request to explain: a window preference, a birthday, an allergy, a table that needs to be out the door before a 7 PM first pitch.
Groups of 10 or more, and any group that wants the Boardroom, book through the event inquiry form instead. Allow up to 48 hours for a reply.
Book parties of six to nine by phone or online; for 10 or more, use the form so the restaurant can quote the food and beverage minimum and, if needed, hold the Boardroom.
How far ahead to book, night by night
Demand at a steakhouse a mile from two stadiums follows the event calendar more than the calendar on the wall. Use this as a guide.
| When | Hours | Booking advice |
|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday, lunch | From 11 AM | Same day usually works; book for groups |
| Monday to Thursday, dinner | Until 9 PM | A day or two ahead for a window table |
| Friday | 11 AM to 10 PM | Book several days ahead for dinner |
| Saturday | 4 PM to 10 PM, dinner only | Book a week ahead; earlier for sunset tables |
| Sunday | Closed | Plan for Friday or Saturday instead |
| Cowboys, Rangers or concert dates | Regular hours | Book as soon as the date is set |
| Valentine’s Day 2027, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day | Friday and Saturday before | Book weeks ahead; each holiday falls on a closed Sunday |
Two calendar notes shape the busiest dates. Cowboys home games are mostly on Sundays, when Mercury is closed, so the pressure lands on Thursday, Monday and Saturday games and on the Friday and Saturday nights before a Sunday kickoff. Rangers home dates run 81 a season, mostly evenings, with weeknight first pitches around 7 PM, so a 5:30 reservation on a game night is the one to secure early.
What to tell us when you reserve
The reservation note is where a good dinner is set up. Mention the occasion, so the team knows it matters. Ask for a table along the curved window wall on the west side if a sunset is the point; the request will be noted, though no table can be guaranteed. Say if anyone has a food allergy, since the menu asks that the server be told before ordering. If a game or concert follows dinner, give the time you need to leave. And if live piano is part of the plan, ask which evenings the pianist is playing that week, because the schedule is not published.
If you are booking for a sunset, check the month: the sun sets around 7:35 PM in September, 7 PM in October and 5:30 PM in November, and the window tables are most in demand in the hour before.
Reserving for six or more
Three policies kick in as a party grows. At six guests, a 20% gratuity is added to the check. At 10, a food and beverage minimum applies, set by party size and quoted with the proposal. At 12 in the main dining room, and for any group in the Boardroom, one check is presented; there are no split checks. The Boardroom itself seats 8 to 20 at a single long table with an AV system, and semi-private seating stretches to 28. The large party page covers the details.
Lunch reservations
Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 AM. Reservations are lighter at midday than at dinner, but a booked table still saves time when you are on a schedule, and the Boardroom can be reserved for a lunch meeting through the same inquiry form. A 6 oz filet is $54 at lunch and the Chophouse Burger is $17. Saturday has no lunch service; doors open at 4 PM.
The lunch menu is separate from dinner, with sandwiches from $14 and lunch-priced steaks; if you are booking a late lunch, ask which menu will be running, since the changeover hour is not published.
Changes, same-day requests and running late
For a same-day table, call rather than refresh the app; the host can see what is actually open. If plans change, call so the table can be released to someone else, and if you are running late on a Friday or Saturday, a quick call is the courteous move. Free parking at the door takes some of the pressure off arrival. If you are wondering whether you need a reservation at all, the walk-in guide gives an honest answer by day and hour.
The restaurant is on the ninth floor of the Brookhollow Two tower at 2221 E Lamar Blvd, Suite 910; allow a few minutes for the walk from the lot and the elevator ride.

Frequently asked questions
Can I reserve a table at Mercury Chophouse online?
Yes, through OpenTable, using the reservation link on the restaurant's website. Choose the date, time and party size and you receive a confirmation. If you have a special request, calling 817-381-1157 lets you explain it to the host directly.
How far in advance should I book a Saturday night table?
About a week for an ordinary Saturday, and earlier if you want a window table near sunset or if the Cowboys, the Rangers or a concert are in town that day. Saturday is dinner only, 4 PM to 10 PM, so the whole evening's demand is squeezed into six hours.
Can I request a window table when I make a reservation?
Yes. Add it to the reservation note or mention it on the phone, and ask for the west side of the curved window wall if the sunset matters to you. Requests are noted but no specific table is guaranteed; arriving early on a busy night improves the odds.
Do I need a reservation for weekday lunch?
It is recommended rather than required. Lunch runs Monday through Friday from 11 AM and a same-day booking usually works, but a reserved table saves time if you have a meeting after. Groups should always book, and a lunch meeting in the Boardroom goes through the event inquiry form.
How do I reserve the Boardroom?
Through the event inquiry form on the website, not through OpenTable. Give the date, time, headcount and occasion; the Boardroom seats 8 to 20 at one long table, a food and beverage minimum applies at 10 or more, and the restaurant replies within 48 hours with availability and a proposal.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservation?
Call 817-381-1157 or change it in OpenTable as early as you can so the table can be offered to someone else. No cancellation fee is published for regular dining. For private events, deposit and cancellation terms are set out in the written proposal rather than on the website.
