Which occasions bring people up here
Anniversaries lead the list, then birthdays with a round number on them, then the news dinners: an engagement, a promotion, a closed deal, a retirement, a first grandchild. Each has its own page, and the details differ. An anniversary dinner wants a two-top at the window; a birthday dinner may want a booth for eight; a proposal wants a quiet word with the manager beforehand.
What they share is the reason people choose this room over a chain steakhouse by the highway: the ninth floor, the linen, and a dining room that was built for evenings that are supposed to be remembered.
The room, described plainly
You come up in the elevator from the Brookhollow Two lobby to Suite 910 and walk in past a glass-front wine wall. The main dining room follows a curved wall of floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Entertainment District. Below and to the west sit Six Flags Over Texas, with its tower plainly visible, Globe Life Field, AT&T Stadium and Hurricane Harbor.
Inside, the tables are dressed in white cloth with linen napkins. Seating is leather chairs and tufted booths under a blue-lit banquette wall, with crystal chandeliers overhead. A grand piano stands by the windows near the marble-topped bar, and on select evenings a pianist plays. Behind a frosted glass door is the Boardroom, the private room. Photographs of all of it are in the gallery.
Timing the evening to the sunset
The windows face west and southwest, so sunset is the room’s signature moment and the one thing worth planning around. Reserve about 30 minutes before the times below to be seated with the sun still up.
| Month | Approximate sunset in Arlington |
|---|---|
| January | 5:40 PM |
| March | 6:30 PM, then 7:35 PM after the time change |
| May | 8:15 PM |
| July | 8:35 PM |
| September | 7:35 PM |
| November | 5:30 PM |
Window tables can be requested but not guaranteed; the curve of the wall means most of the room sees the view regardless. More on this at the sunset dinner page.
A menu built for a night that matters
The kitchen’s centerpiece is the 27 oz Wagyu Long Bone Ribeye at $210, served with crispy onion strings and Dijon butter, the cut for two people marking something big. The Dry-Aged 36 oz Porterhouse at $175 is the other shared showpiece. For one person, the 8 oz Wagyu Filet is $105 and the Center-Cut Filet Mignon is $62 for 6 oz or $74 for 8 oz.
| Occasion | What tends to get ordered | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Anniversary for two | Dry-Aged 36 oz Porterhouse to share | $175 |
| Milestone birthday | 27 oz Wagyu Long Bone Ribeye | $210 |
| Promotion or closed deal | Bone-In Ribeye, Dijon butter | $90 |
| Engagement | Seared Sea Bass, Imperial style with crab and shrimp | $57 plus $20 |
| Dessert | Crème Brûlée or Chocolate Torte, both gluten free | $15 |
To start, the Signature Wagyu & Black Truffle Ravioli at $34 is the dish guests talk about afterward. Any steak can be finished Oscar style with lobster for $20 more. The wine list runs from a $78 Willamette Pinot Noir to Opus One at $686, and the bar makes an MCA Smoked Manhattan at $18 that arrives under smoke.
Tell the host what the night is
When you reserve on OpenTable or call 817-381-1157, say what you are celebrating and where you would like to sit. The staff notes it. Guest reviews on the site describe small touches on birthdays and anniversaries; those are at management’s discretion, so treat them as a possibility rather than a promise. What you can count on is a table that is not rushed and a server who knows the occasion.
Two practical points. A 20% gratuity is added once the party reaches 6. A $25 split-plate fee applies to composed entrées, so if you plan to share one plate between two, ask your server how it applies before you order.
When the occasion outgrows one table
A 50th anniversary with children and grandchildren, a retirement with the whole office, a birthday with 15 friends: those move to the Boardroom, which seats 8 to 20 at one long table with its own windows and a large screen, or to a semi-private arrangement for up to 28. One check is presented, menus can be tailored, and a food and beverage minimum is quoted with the proposal. Requests go through the event inquiry form on the site, with a reply within 48 hours.

Frequently asked questions
Can I request a window table for an anniversary?
Yes, ask when you reserve on OpenTable or by phone, and the request is noted. Window tables are not guaranteed on a full night, but the dining room follows a curved window wall, so most tables see the district and the sunset whether or not they touch the glass.
How far ahead should I book a milestone dinner?
For a Friday or Saturday, or any night with a Cowboys game, Rangers game or stadium concert, book as soon as the date is set; those nights fill first. A Monday through Thursday table is easier to get on shorter notice. Reserve on OpenTable or call 817-381-1157.
Is there a tasting menu or a set celebration menu?
No. Dinner is ordered from the regular menu, from starters through steaks, seafood and dessert. Tailored menus are available only for groups in the Boardroom or a semi-private arrangement, where the private dining team builds one around the party and the food and beverage minimum.
Will the piano be playing on the night we come?
Live piano is on select evenings and the schedule is not published, so it depends on the night. If music is part of the plan, call 817-381-1157 and ask which evenings the pianist is booked for the week you want. The grand piano sits by the windows near the bar.
What does a special occasion dinner for two cost here?
As a guide from the menu: two 6 oz Center-Cut Filets at $62 each, two shareable sides such as Whipped Potatoes at $14 and Broccolini at $17, and one dessert at $15 come to about $170 before drinks, tax and gratuity. A shared 36 oz Porterhouse at $175 with the same sides lands in a similar range.
