Two at the window

Six to eleven at a long table
Most birthday dinners land here: parents, siblings, a few friends. In the main dining room a party of six or more pays a 20% gratuity, and from ten guests up a food and beverage minimum applies. Reserve by phone for anything over six so the host can place you together, and ask for the window side of the room. At twelve guests you are in one-check territory, and that is the point at which The Boardroom starts to make sense. It seats 8 to 20 at a single long table behind a frosted glass door lettered Mercury Board Room, with its own window view of the district and a fully integrated AV system with a large screen. Bring a slideshow of the birthday person through the decades and ask what format the system takes. Menus can be tailored, a food and beverage minimum is quoted in the written proposal, and the room is requested through the event inquiry form, answered within 48 hours. What a birthday table orders
Start the table with the Land & Sea Sampler ($26 per person) or a couple of orders of Savory Meatballs ($18) and Chophouse Calamari ($17) down the middle. The 27 oz Wagyu Long Bone Ribeye ($210) is the centerpiece steak for a table that wants something to pass around; the Bone-In Ribeye ($90) and the Braised Bone-In Beef Short Rib ($82) are the two most generous single plates.
