Mercury sits on the top floor of the Brookhollow Two office tower on East Lamar Boulevard. You park at the tower, ride the elevator to Suite 910, and step out into a dining room that faces the whole district from above.

The 27 oz Wagyu Long Bone Ribeye ($210) does the same job with crispy onion strings and Dijon butter. This is where Mercury separates itself from a chain steakhouse. The after-dinner list is a full page: an Espresso Martini ($17), a Chocolate Martini ($16) made with house-made vanilla vodka, a Carajillo ($17) layered or shaken, and a set of shaken ice cream cocktails that includes the Brandy Alexander ($18) and the Grasshopper ($17).
