Two ways to host
For two to five people, a booth or a window table in the main room is the right call. The view does the small talk for you, and the room is quiet enough that nobody leans in to hear. For six or more, or any dinner where a laptop comes out, ask for the Boardroom. Its long table seats 8 to 20, the screen handles a deck, and the restaurant describes its view as the best panoramic view of the district, which is a good backdrop when the sun goes down. Groups of 10 or more meet a food and beverage minimum quoted in the written proposal; the private dining team replies within 48 hours of a private dining request.

The wine list runs from $78 bottles to Opus One at $686, with a deep Pinot Noir and Cabernet section, so there is a bottle for a first meeting and one for a signed contract. Whiskey pours include Blanton’s at $38 and Yamazaki Distiller’s Reserve at $35 if the evening moves to the bar.
Lunch instead of dinner
A weekday lunch is often the better client meeting: shorter, cheaper and easier to fit between flights. Mercury serves a separate lunch menu from 11 AM Monday through Friday. From the Highway 360 business corridor, exit at Lamar and head west about a mile. From downtown Dallas plan on 25 minutes; from downtown Fort Worth, 22 minutes; from Las Colinas, 18 minutes.
