Arlington’s two big tenants keep opposite schedules, and the ninth floor at 2221 E Lamar Blvd keeps its own: open Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday. Lay the three side by side and the game-day picture sorts itself out.
The Cowboys play most home games on Sunday, when Mercury Chophouse – Arlington is closed. The Rangers play 81 home dates, mostly weekday evenings and Saturdays, when it is open. So a Rangers game night almost always pairs with dinner here, and a Cowboys game does so only on the Thursday, Monday and Saturday dates, or on the Friday and Saturday nights around a Sunday kickoff.

Rangers game nights
Weeknight first pitch is usually around 7 PM. A 5 PM reservation gives a full dinner, a leave-by of 6:30 PM and a drive of about 1 mile and 4 minutes to Globe Life Field, plus whatever the event traffic adds. Saturday games work from a 4 PM opening. Day games pair with weekday lunch from 11 AM or with an early dinner afterward.
Dinner after an evening game is the hard case. The restaurant closes at 9 PM Monday through Thursday and 10 PM Friday and Saturday, which is about when a 7 PM game ends. Watching it from the ninth floor
Some game days the better seat is up here. The bar has TVs above the full back bar and a marble top to lean on, and from the curved window wall you can see both stadiums while the game is on inside one of them. That is a detail no restaurant inside the district core can offer, since they are standing in the view.
For a group, the Boardroom is the watch party room: 8 to 20 at a single long table, a fully integrated AV system with a large screen, and a frosted glass door that closes. The restaurant describes it as a place to cheer on the Rangers and Cowboys in their own backyards. It carries one check regardless of size and a food and beverage minimum at 10 or more. The same Sunday rule applies. A Sunday Cowboys game cannot be watched here; a Thursday or Monday night game can, without the drive.

Parking is in the garage or the outdoor lot at the Brookhollow Two office tower, north of the stadium lots, with the elevator to Suite 910 inside. Parking at the tower is free. Lamar Blvd reaches Highway 360 about a mile east and Ballpark Way heading south into the district, so you are not funneled through the game-day lots to get in or out.
Dress code is business casual on game days too: no athletic wear, hoodies or baseball caps; jeans without rips and collared shirts are fine. Cowboy hats are welcome and come off at the table. The dress code page has the full list for both men and women.

Which Cowboys home games can I actually eat here before?
The ones not on Sunday: Thursday night games, Monday night games and any Saturday date. Mercury is closed every Sunday. For a Sunday kickoff, the closest fit is dinner on the Friday or Saturday night before, when the room is open until 10 PM.
Are there TVs in the dining room?
The TVs are at the bar, above the back bar, and in the Boardroom, which has a large screen as part of its AV system. The main dining room is a white-tablecloth room with the district view in its windows. Sit at the bar or ask for a table near it if you want sightlines to a screen.
Why eat outside the district core on game day?
Because leaving is the hard part. Restaurants in the core sit inside the same lots the stadium crowd is using. Mercury is about a mile north on E Lamar Blvd with its own office-tower parking, so you drive in and out on side streets and reach the stadium in about 5 minutes without traffic.
Can a group of 20 watch the game in a private room?
Yes. The Boardroom seats 8 to 20 at one long table and has a large screen with a fully integrated AV system. Semi-private seating extends to 28. Is the dining room loud when a game is on?
The TVs are confined to the bar and the Boardroom, so the sound of the game does not carry through the dining room the way it would at a sports bar. If conversation matters more than the score, say so when you book and ask for a table away from the bar.
