The 5 o'clock table
The Rangers play 81 home dates a year, and most weeknight first pitches are around 7 PM. That makes a 5 PM reservation the natural one: a full dinner on the ninth floor, the elevator down, and a drive of about 1 mile to Globe Life Field at 734 Stadium Dr. Without traffic it is 4 minutes. On a game night, allow more.
Mercury Chophouse – Arlington is open Monday through Friday from 11 AM and Saturday from 4 PM, so the 5 PM table exists six days a week. Sunday the restaurant is closed, and Sunday afternoon games are the one part of the home schedule you will have to feed elsewhere.
From the curved window wall you can see the ballpark you are about to walk into. Ask for a table on the district side when you book; window seats are requested often and cannot be promised.

The drive south
Leave the Brookhollow Two lot, head down Lamar to Ballpark Way or the Nolan Ryan Expressway, and follow it south into the district. The restaurant is off the main stadium lots on purpose; you park at an office tower, not in a game-day lot, and the elevator to Suite 910 is a few steps from the door. Parking at the tower is free every night.

Ordering with first pitch in mind
Say “first pitch at seven” when you sit down and your server will pace the table to it. From there the menu is the regular dinner menu, and these are the plates that fit a 5 PM seating best.

Caps, crowds and the summer light
Two practical things. First, the dress code: business casual, jeans without rips welcome, and baseball caps on the prohibited list, so the Rangers cap rides in the car until the ballpark. Cowboy hats are welcome but come off while seated. Second, the crowd: game nights are among the busiest on the ninth floor, and a reservation is strongly recommended.
In baseball season the sun sets late, around 7:55 PM in April, 8:15 PM in May and 8:35 PM in June and July. A 5 PM table sees the district in full daylight; the sunset belongs to the ballpark that night, and to the sunset dinner page on the nights you are not going to the game.
