After a Cowboys game, Mercury Chophouse – Arlington is a realistic dinner only when the game ends before closing: 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, 9 PM Monday through Thursday. The restaurant is closed Sunday, so a post-game dinner works best after a Saturday afternoon game, about 1.5 miles from AT&T Stadium.

The closing-time math
A Cowboys game runs a little over three hours from kickoff. Set that against the hours on the ninth floor and the picture is clear: Mercury Chophouse – Arlington closes at 9 PM Monday through Thursday, at 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, and does not open at all on Sunday. A Monday or Thursday night game lets out after the kitchen has closed. A Sunday game lets out into a dark lobby.
That leaves one post-game dinner that works without a squeeze: a Saturday afternoon game. When the final whistle comes around 6 or 7 PM, you can be at a table on E Lamar Blvd by 7:30 with more than two hours before the doors close.
The last seating time on a game night is not published, so if you are cutting it close, call 817-381-1157 from the stadium lot and ask.
Post-game scenarios, sorted
| Game | Ends around | Mercury closes | Dinner after the game? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunday, any kickoff | Afternoon or night | Closed all day | No. Dine Friday or Saturday night before, or come for lunch Monday. |
| Saturday, afternoon kickoff | 6 to 7 PM | 10 PM | Yes. Reserve 7:30 to 8 PM. |
| Saturday, evening kickoff | 10 PM or later | 10 PM | No. Reserve 4 to 4:30 PM before the game instead. |
| Monday or Thursday night | 10:30 PM or later | 9 PM | No. Reserve 4:45 to 5:45 PM before kickoff. |
The pre-game page has the leave-by times for each of those before-the-game rows, and the drive is the same 1.5 miles in the other direction.
Getting out of the stadium and up to the ninth floor
Most of the post-game crowd heads south to I-30 or east to Highway 360. Mercury is the other direction: north on Ballpark Way or the Nolan Ryan Expressway to E Lamar Blvd, about 1.5 miles and 5 minutes without traffic. With the lots emptying, plan on more than that, and let the host stand know if you are running behind.
The Brookhollow Two office tower has its own garage and outdoor lot, well clear of the stadium parking, and both are free. Ride the elevator to Suite 910 and the noise of the district stays nine floors below. If the whole party is in one car, that car is parked once and the elevator does the rest; if you came by rideshare, the tower address is 2221 E Lamar Blvd and the pickup is at the lobby doors.
What a late Saturday table looks like
By 7:30 PM in the fall the sun is down or close to it, the district lights are coming up in the window wall, and the bar’s TVs carry whatever game is on next. Live piano plays on select evenings. The dinner menu is served every evening the restaurant is open, so nothing is cut back for a later table. Order promptly and there is time for three courses before 10.
| Course | Pick | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Gulf Shrimp & Jumbo Lump Crab Ceviche | $23 |
| Salad | Wedge, with applewood-smoked bacon and Gorgonzola | $18 |
| Steak | Bone-In Ribeye, Dijon butter | $90 |
| Side | Mac-n-Cheese, add lobster for $20 | $15 |
| Dessert | Key Lime Pie | $16 |
| Nightcap | Classic Irish coffee with Jameson | $16 |
When the game is on Sunday
For the Sunday games, which is most of them, the post-game dinner becomes a pre-game weekend. Friday night is open until 10 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM, and both fill with traveling fans. If you are staying over Sunday night, the weekday lunch menu starts at 11 AM Monday: Chophouse Burger $17, Marinated Steak Sandwich $19, Chicken Fried Steak with rye whiskey cream gravy $24, or the Wagyu London Broil at $65 for a send-off.
The game day dining guide lays out the whole week, Cowboys and Rangers both, and the late dinner page covers what a 9 PM Saturday table looks like on any weekend.
Groups after a Saturday game
A group that walked out of AT&T Stadium together can sit together. The Boardroom seats 8 to 20 at one long table with a large screen for the evening game, and semi-private seating handles up to 28. Parties of 10 or more meet a food and beverage minimum, one check comes to the table for 12 or more, and 20% gratuity is added at six and up. Request the room through the event inquiry form and allow up to 48 hours for a reply. For anything short of a private room, the group dining page covers how a table of 8 or 10 works in the main room.

Frequently asked questions
What time does the kitchen close on a Saturday game night?
The restaurant closes at 10 PM on Saturday, and the last seating time is not published. If a Saturday afternoon game runs long, call 817-381-1157 on the way out of the lot; the host stand can tell you whether an 8:30 or 9 PM table is realistic that night.
Can we eat here after a Monday or Thursday night Cowboys game?
Not realistically. Those games end after 10 PM and Mercury closes at 9 PM Monday through Thursday. The better plan is a 4:45 to 5:45 PM reservation before kickoff, which leaves 90 minutes for dinner and time to reach the stadium about 1.5 miles south.
Is there somewhere to watch the late game after we eat?
The bar on the ninth floor has TVs above the back bar, and the Boardroom has a large screen for private groups of 8 to 20. Both keep the restaurant's hours, so on a Saturday that means until 10 PM. Sunday the restaurant is closed.
We are in Arlington Sunday night after the game. When is the next chance to eat here?
Monday at 11 AM, when the weekday lunch menu starts. It runs sandwiches from $14, Chicken Fried Steak at $24 and steaks up to the Bone-In Ribeye at $82. Dinner follows the same day; the restaurant closes at 9 PM Monday.
How do we get from the stadium lots to E Lamar Blvd after the game?
Head north rather than south. Ballpark Way or the Nolan Ryan Expressway takes you up to E Lamar Blvd, and the Brookhollow Two office tower is at 2221 E Lamar. It is about 1.5 miles, 5 minutes with clear roads, longer while the lots empty. Park in the tower's garage or its outdoor lot and ride the elevator to the ninth floor.
Does the dress code relax for fans coming from the stadium?
No. Business casual applies after a game as on any night: unripped jeans and a collared shirt are fine, but athletic wear, hoodies, baseball caps and flip-flops are not admitted. Fans who wore a jersey to the game should have a change in the car.
