Weekday lunch is the quietest service of the week. The bar’s TVs are on, but the bar is not where you sit; the dining room at noon is white linen, leather chairs and the sound of a few other tables. Sunlight fills the room at midday, so the tables along the curve are bright; a guest who would rather not squint can take a table one row in and still see the district. Arriving, and the dress
Mercury is in the Brookhollow Two office tower at 2221 E Lamar Blvd, Suite 910, about a mile from the Highway 360 interchange and a mile north of I-30. A guest driving from Las Colinas, about 18 minutes away, or from downtown Fort Worth, about 22 minutes, does not fight stadium traffic to reach you. Park in the garage or the outdoor lot and take the elevator to the top floor. Dress is business casual; a jacket is not required and a suit is not out of place. A cowboy hat is fine at the door and is removed once seated. From DFW Airport the drive is about 12 miles down Highway 360, 15 to 20 minutes outside rush hour, which makes this a workable lunch for a guest flying in for the day.
Lunch that turns into dinner
When the lunch goes well and nobody wants to leave, the room stays open on weekdays: Monday through Thursday it runs until 9 PM and Friday until 10 PM.
