Five minutes from the museum, above the district

The National Medal of Honor Museum opened in 2025 at 1861 AT&T Way, in the Arlington Entertainment District near AT&T Stadium. Mercury Chophouse – Arlington is about 1.6 miles north of it, on the top floor of the Brookhollow Two office tower at 2221 E Lamar Blvd. The drive is about five minutes in normal traffic.

From the museum, take AT&T Way to Ballpark Way, follow it north as Nolan Ryan Expressway through the district, and turn east on E Lamar Blvd; the tower is on Lamar. If you are coming from I-30, use the Ballpark Way exit and go north about a mile. Park in the garage or the outdoor lot, enter the lobby, and take the elevator to the ninth floor, Suite 910. The museum’s neighbor, AT&T Stadium, is in the dining room window when you arrive.

A veteran-owned room

Mercury’s founder and owner, Jim Ross, is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He grew up in Detroit, moved to Arlington in 1983, and served as an officer with the Arlington Police Department before leaving in 1996 for law school and founding the Jim Ross Law Group in the city. The restaurant is his, and so is Hearsay – Arlington inside Choctaw Stadium.

That background is why a visit to the museum and dinner at Mercury sit naturally together. The room itself is traditional: white tablecloths and linen napkins, leather chairs and tufted booths, crystal chandeliers, a marble-topped bar, a glass-front wine wall at the entrance, and a grand piano by the windows with live piano on select evenings. Museum in the morning, lunch on the ninth floor

On a weekday, the museum and the restaurant fit into one unhurried day. Mercury’s hours are the fixed points; check the museum’s own schedule for its opening times.

Saturday works, Sunday does not

Many museum visits happen on weekends, so the schedule needs saying plainly. Mercury is closed every Sunday. On Saturday it serves dinner only, from 4 to 10 PM, with free parking at the tower. Friday is the full day, 11 AM to 10 PM.

For a Saturday visit, that means the museum in the afternoon and a 5 or 6 PM dinner on the ninth floor, with the sunset arriving around 7:35 PM in September and 5:25 PM in December. For a Sunday visit, plan the Mercury dinner for Saturday night instead. A table for a reunion or a family visit

Groups traveling to the museum together, veterans’ reunions among them, have a private option. The Boardroom seats 8 to 20 at one long table behind a frosted glass door, with a large screen and a fully integrated AV system for a slideshow or a toast, and semi-private space extends to 28. The room shares the dining room’s district view. One check is presented, a food and beverage minimum applies to parties of 10 or more, and requests through the event inquiry form are answered within 48 hours. What to order

The Braised Bone-In Beef Short Rib at $82 with whipped potatoes, baby carrots and natural jus is the comfort order. The Chicken Saltimbocca is $42, wrapped in prosciutto with sage and a mushroom Marsala sauce. Steak-first guests take the Hand-Cut Ribeye at $75 or the Center-Cut Filet Mignon at $62 for 6 oz. Warm bread with garlic butter arrives first at every table.

Dessert and coffee close the day: Key Lime Pie at $16, Cherry & Pecan Bread Pudding at $16 with vanilla ice cream, and a Classic Irish coffee with Jameson at $16. Dress is business casual; collared shirts encouraged, no baseball caps or athletic wear, and hats removed at the table.
