The two hotels inside the district

If you are staying at either Loews property, Mercury Chophouse – Arlington is the closest white-tablecloth dinner to your room.

Both are a short rideshare or a few minutes in the car. The restaurant is on the ninth floor of the Brookhollow Two office tower, just north of the district, and from its windows you can see the part of town you came from. Hotels along I-30 and Highway 360

Most of Arlington’s other hotels cluster along I-30 and along Highway 360, and both roads lead here without detours. From the I-30 hotels, take the Ballpark Way exit and head north to E Lamar Blvd; I-30 is about a mile south of the restaurant. From the Highway 360 hotels, exit at Lamar Blvd and head west about a mile. Along either corridor, the drive is likely under 10 minutes outside of game traffic.

Guests staying farther out, in Grand Prairie (about 6 miles) or near DFW Airport (about 12 miles via Highway 360), are still within 20 minutes. The Highway 360 page and the DFW Airport page cover those routes.

Getting here from your room

Drive or ride, either works. Drivers park in the tower’s garage or its outdoor lot, at no charge, and take the elevator to Suite 910. A rideshare can drop you at the tower entrance, and the glass doors on the ninth floor are lettered Mercury Chophouse, Suite 910, so there is no hunting once the elevator opens. Because the tower sits off the stadium lots, a hotel guest on a game night can get in and out without touching the event traffic on the way to dinner.

Give yourself a few extra minutes on Rangers game nights and concert nights all the same. The district streets between the hotels and Lamar carry the crowd, and a 3-minute drive can become ten. The parking page explains the parking.

Dinner on a traveler's schedule

Hotel stays rarely line up with a restaurant’s week, so here is the week. Monday through Thursday the room serves from 11 AM to 9 PM. Friday it runs 11 AM to 10 PM. Saturday is dinner only, 4 PM to 10 PM. Sunday it is closed, which matters for a weekend stay: a Saturday night reservation is the one to make first. Weekday lunch, from 11 AM, is the quiet option for a guest with an evening event, and the lunch page has the menu.

If you check in late on a Friday, an 8:30 PM table still leaves time for dinner before the 10 PM close; the last seating time is not published, so call 817-381-1157 if you are cutting it close.

What to order on a one-night stay

Order the things a hotel kitchen cannot do. The Signature Wagyu & Black Truffle Ravioli at $34 opens the dinner menu for a reason. The Seared Sea Bass at $57 comes with corn risotto and beurre blanc, and can be made Imperial with crab and Gulf shrimp for $20 more. Two travelers with an evening to spend should look at the Dry-Aged 36 oz Porterhouse at $175. Dessert runs from a $15 Crème Brûlée to a $17 Italian Cream Cake, and the port list includes a Messina Hof Texas port at $16 and a Kopke Colheita 1985 at $48. Live piano plays by the window on select evenings, and the tables along the curved window wall look over the district your hotel sits in.

Hotel groups

A group staying at the same hotel can book the Boardroom, a private room for 8 to 20 with a large screen, or semi-private seating for up to 28.
